As a future recreation professional studying Outdoor Recreation and Education at Ohio University, I have begun to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for my area of study. I have developed these skills based on the standards below, which also contain a personal, and institutional artifacts that demonstrate the skills and knowledge I have acquired.
Standard 7.01
7.1.1 The nature and scope of the relevant park, recreation, tourism or related professions and their associated industries;
7.1.2 Techniques and processes used by professionals and workers in these industries; and,
7.1.3 The foundation of the profession in history, science and philosophy.
STANDARD 7.02
7.2.1 The ability to design, implement, and evaluate services that facilitate targeted human experiences and that embrace personal and cultural dimensions of diversity.
STANDARD 7.03
7.3.1 Operations and strategic management/administration in parks, recreation, tourism and/or related professions.
