Being an outdoor professional, personal experience is what truly shows passion for the outdoors, and the work that an individual does. Here I will be outlining my personal experiences that have helped to shape who I am, as well as provide me with more experience in the field.

Mailbox Peak was one of the hikes that I learned the most about myself, and what it means to be an outdoor professional. This hike was as challenging as it was rewarding, and the reward at the top was worth it. From the top of mailbox peak I looked down the side of the mountain, and saw what I had accomplished, who i met along the way, and who helped along the way. Whether it was helping through morale, sparing some water on the way down, or just a friendly face, someone was there to help. Seeing people on the trail and enjoying it, in a responsible manner, showed me that everyone was there for the same reason and to appreciate nature. Fostering this in individuals is what being an outdoor professional means, and is what I want to do.
