Learning Outcome 7.02

The ability to Create, implement, and evaluate services for recreation.

The Learning Style Inventory (LSI) assignment was designed to help students determine what kind of learners they are, and what techniques are best used to suit their learning style. In this document, you will see what kind of learner I am. I attribute most of my current learning and work habits to this assignment and gained a lot of valuable information about myself while writing this reflective paper.

Everyone is different, and that must be accounted for when creating a program. Whether an individual differs in how they learn or in what their physical ability is, a program should be inclusive. Below is an inclusive program that I developed during my Inclusive Recreation class, which was tailored around the group Expanding Your Horizons. In the document you will see the measures taken to make sure that this was an inclusive event for all.

Me and my team of three others developed this facility design proposal my junior year. The project was to choose a facility near Athens, Ohio and make recommendations to improve the facility. We decided to do our project on the Aquatic Center, focusing on improvements that could be taken to the new facility upon completion. We then conducted multiple surveys and analyses to figure out ways to improve the current facility. Our final project with all of our rationals and proposals are in the following document.

Facility Design Proposal

Myself along with three other students created this document that could potentially be used as an outline for a summer camp based out of Athens, Ohio. This project provided me practical experience creating recreational programs and understand what other considerations there might be when it comes to creating a program.

Upon completion of the class Recreation 4550, a description of the artifact, as well as a documented artifact will appear here.
